Welcome
Established in 1978, the American Folk Art Society is a membership organization that brings together people who collect, appreciate and wish to increase knowledge of American folk art of the 18th and 19th Centuries. The Society holds two meetings per year in various locations throughout the U.S. These meetings include visits to museums and private collections as well as lectures and scholarly presentations. The Society also funds grants to support museums and other organizations devoted to American folk art as well to individuals engaged in research aimed at the enhancement of knowledge in this area.
